Showing incorrect balance

My bank account has all correct data entered and the running credit balance is correct. However at the bottom of the screen the balance is incorrect. This balance also seems to change and I am unsure how or why.

Can I edit the running balance to make it correct.

How can I backup this data so I have a copy stored?

Thank you

The balances are calculated values, so the only way to change them is to either enter a transaction, or edit the initial balance of an account by going to Account -> Edit Account from the menu bar. There are a few different types of balances though, so considering that you seem to say your running balance is correct, I wonder if one type of balance is more correct in terms of what you are looking for. Try clicking on the balance total itself at the lower right corner of your register, and the program should display a few different types of balances for this account. Do one of these appear to be correct?

To make a backup in Moneydance 2015, simply go to File -> Export Backup from the menu bar.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

Which specific type of balance appears to be incorrect? Did any of the types appear to be correct? It sounded like from your description the running total in the balance column of your register was correct, which would usually mean that at least one of the types of balances in the bottom right would be correct as well. Did I misunderstand your initial description?

Can you please send in a screenshot of your entire account register when you have clicked on this balance button on the lower right corner so I can see what you are describing? If you're not sure how to take a screenshot, please see http://take-a-screenshot.org/

Attached screen shot - as you see it is now showing 10k was 72k before - neither of which are correct.

Can you tell me how you took that screenshot. It is too small to be able to read any of its contents. Could you take another by pressing cmd-shift-3

Are you by chance using the Mail app on your Mac to send the screenshot? If so, you need to set the image size option to actual size. The other options will change your screenshots to be far too small to view. I've attached a screenshot showing this dropdown.

Please can you verify the version of Moneydance you are running. To do this run Moneydance and from the menu bar select Help->Console Window... Then copy and paste the output of the console window to this discussion.
