Export Backup not working as expected

Moneydance has been installed in its default location, and I like to keep incremental backups elsewhere. Unfortunately Export Backup doesn’t allow me to change the name of the file, when I do it produces plain files not Moneydance Archive files. See screen shot.

That is quite strange. I'm not able to replicate this on my test systems. Can you confirm that you are using File -> Export Backup and not File -> Export from the menu bar? When using the former, I'm able to both set a name and save location for the file in the window that appears.

Can you also please go to Help -> Console Window from the menu bar and paste the output in your reply? This will give us detailed technical information about the version of Moneydance and the system you are running.

Can you try upgrading to the latest preview release of Moneydance from here:

    http://infinitekind.com/preview

and see if that fixes the issue that you're seeing?

Upgraded to latest build 2015.6 (1281) but still have the same problem. However I have found a way around it, create a folder for each date.

More importantly to me the latest build has improved the clarity of the fonts immensely. I previously had blurred/indistinct fonts in various places, now all fonts are clear. Thank you.

    Hello Colin,

I'm glad to hear that you've found a solution that will work for you. We're still not able to replicate this issue through. Hopefully others will write in if they are having a similar problem, but I believe you are the only one to encounter this so far.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
