Modifying transactions in an Investment Account
In downloaded transactions, I often find it impossible to delete unwanted data such as Security, Transfer, Fee Category, Shares (qty), and Price (per share).
For example, a downloaded transaction is mistakenly shown as Xfr and I'm trying to change it to MiscExp with no Transfer account. But I cannot delete the "Transfer" account reference that has been specified.
In particular, many downloaded transactions (such dividends or MiscInc) are showing a price of $100/share even when no price is relevant for the transaction. Is there any way to prevent this?
Observed using version 2015.5 (1225) and also after updating to 2015.6 (1293) on Windows 7. Thanks.

You can edit the transaction to a miscinc transaction and when the transaction is finished the fee and transfer fields should not appear. The $100 is a place holder value and should not affect your current price field or your price history.
This is occurring because many brokers are using sweep accounts for their Moneymarket holdings. Cash is moved to a banking entity associated with the brokerage where it receives a higher interest. The interest is then transferred back to the investment account.
I would suggest creating a security named MM interest and assign this security when editing the transaction to a misc inc transaction.
