Moneydance does not appear on screen when run
I‘ve happily been using Moneydance on my Windows 7 PC for several months. A few days ago it crashed, I don’t know why. Now, when I run it, it starts, asks for my password and appears as an icon on the bottom bar. If I hover the pointer over this icon I can see the open program as a mini window but nothing appears on the screen, however I click it.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it makes no difference. I have also tried going back to earlier Restore Points. Further investigation seems to show the problem stems from Moneydance not fully removing itself from the computer when uninstalled.
I did try emailing this problem direct to Moneydance support but have not received any response.
Can anyone help me please?

Sorry, I've managed to enter this query twice. Is it possible to delete the first one?

Hi Jejoma,
2 probabilities come to mind. 1. MD is opening 'Minimized' and just needs to be 'Restored'. 2. MD is opening 'off screen' and needs to be brought back 'on screen'
To resolve scenario 1, hover over the MD taskbar item until you see the MD thumbnail (mini window) right click the thumbnail and choose 'Maximize' or 'Restore'.
To resolve scenario 2, again right click the thumbnail, this time choose 'Move', now use your arrow keys on the keyboard to attempt to bring the MD window back 'on screen'.
Regarding scenario 2, I'm not experienced with Win 7 so you may need to right click on the thumbnail or you may just need to right click on the taskbar item itself.

Hi,
Once you get the thumbnail version of the program to appear have you tried right clicking on it and selecting maximize? This problem has shown up for several users and this is how they fixed it.
I could find your prior email to us anywhere in our database did you email it to a particular support person?
Let me know if maximizing the thumbnail fixes it, if not we can look at other possible solutions.
Sincerely,
Jon Hoover, Moneydance Support

Thank you to you both for your quick responses. The maximizing fixed it.
I must confess I did not know that menu option was there and since finding it that first time have been unable to find it since!
Still, I'll know where to look if the problem comes back.
Cheers, Jejoma

A bit more playing and I've found the option again. I've now made a note of how to do it!
