What version of Moneydance are you using? What bank do you bank with? It may be that you just need to update Moneydance to the most recent version. If you already are using the most recent version, please let me know.
Sincerely,

Hi Louis
Your latest post contains no information. This might be a problem on our end. I am not sure. Would you please post again.

Brian asked me about my verison of moneydance & bank account.
I'm using moneydance 2008r3.
My bank account is with Centra Credit Union. I've only had moneydance a short time. when I ask about updates, the program said that I'm up to date. I have two other accounts and they work fine Just this account is giving me trouble. It worked for a while then gave me the error:400

There is a newer version 2008r4 Build 640 available here :
http://moneydance.com/other
Please try it and see if it resolves the problem.
Sincerely
Ben Spencer

I down loaded the new version 2008r4 Build 640
The account still would not work. I tried to turn off online banking for the account at centra credit union and then trun it back on. Now I get the errow:400 as soon as I try to connect to the account. Does Moneydance still work with Centra Credit Union?

Lewis,
I believe the connection information needs to be updated. We should have that complete within the next couple of days.
Best,

I'm having a very similar problem, except the other way around...when I try to pay a bill online I get this exact same error. I've been using Moneydance for several years and never had a problem. I've paid hundreds of bills directly from the program without a hitch. Now suddenly, the last few times I've attempted to pay a bill, it gives me this message. It still downloads transactions from the same bank account just fine, but it won't let me make a payment. I've had to go to my bank's website to make the payment, then come back and make the entry in Moneydance. What a pain!
Any ideas?

I just realized my previous message had some incorrect info. The error message I get is different. The first part reads the same, but the error description at the end says "Error Description: java.io.10 Exception: HTTP Error: 500 Internal Server Error

Kara
Are you using the same bank as the user above?

No, I'm using Capital One.

As the problem you are experiencing is unrelated would you mind posting your inquiry in an independent discussion?

Same problem of unable to connect to First Hawaiian Bank due to error 400. The Bank upgraded their website and I am told that I need a new source code (whatever that is or means). Current software is 2008 v4(640). Any help without computer jargon (word(s) such as "source code" is an example). Thank you, Larry

I may have a related issue. TD banknorth customer using Mac version of moneydance,. I used trial version for a day or two this week, liked it and so this evening bought license, for version 2008r4. I finished tagging transactions that had downloaded during trial and when I went back to download more current transactions from my bank rec'd this message:
There was an error communicating with your financial institution. The details of this error are below.
A communication or parsing error occurred. This could be the result of a network problem, a proxy error, or misconfigured server.
Error Description: java.io.IOException: Unexpected end of message while reading headers
From what I can see it looks like my banks ULR is now MIA.

I am having the same problem. Running MD 2008r4 on Mac OSX 10.5.7. MD has worked fine with TD BankNorth until recently, and I am getting the same error description (communication or parsing error, java.io.IOExecption)
I suspect it may have something to do with changes at TD BankNorth. They are doing some rebranding to TD Bank, and they have posted new instructions for Quicken customers on how to adapt in the last few days. It seems like MD needs to update to this new format.

Lewis,
I have been researching Centra Credit Union's new connection information so far without success. I'm wondering if they still support Direct Connect. Can you write them and ask them if they do?
Regards,
Brian

We are working on re-establishing the connections for First Hawaiian and TD Banknorth. We may have both resolved tonight.

Brian & Ben
I want to thank you both for all your help the account is working perfect. I can't believe that you both really did work on my problem. NOW I'm sure I made the right choice to get rid of my quicken and get moneydance. Anytime I had trouble with them no help. THANKS AGAIN

We have a solution for TD Banknorth that is implemented in the latest preview (641) of Moneydance. Please find it here: http://moneydance.com/preview/
Be sure to set up a new online banking connection for "TD Banknorth". Do not use the one with the "NA".
