Unable to save my checking account
The following messages appear when I click to save. "error making backup:java.io.file not found Exception/application`/checking Jan,feb. md-2011-01-18 " click on ok the following message appears
"error saving file:java.io.file not found exception/application/checking Jan,Feb.md(permission denied) click ok "Then I can't get out unless I shut down.

I suspect that the problem is that you have a comma in the file name between Jan and Feb. Commas are not legal characters for file names.

That comma you refer to is in the error msg. I have not altered the file name in since inception and the file has been running over a year. This problem started a bout a week ago.

Is your data file actually called "checking Jan,feb. md"? If so can you try changing its name to "checking Jan-feb.md".

Hi,
Have you tried going into moneydance and going to the File Menu and selecting Open? From there, try and browse about in order to find your file.
