Any known problems with the balance box not updating correctly?

I had a situation today where the Balance Box on one of my Loan accounts was showing a different value than the register, or the cleared or current balances. The box itself was off by a figure that did not relate to any other amount that I could understand.

For example, here are the values I saw:

Last transaction in register: -289,102.08
Balance box: -288,124.43 this was wrong

Clicking on the balance box brought up the three balances:

Balance: -289,102.08
Cleared Balance: -289,538.93
Current Balance: -289,102.08

And the balance reported on home page for this account was: -289,102.08

So everywhere else was looking correct except for the balance box button itself on the bottom of the account window.

When I quit and restarted MD, the balance box button showed the correct amount (-289,102.08)

   Doug,

   I haven't heard of this issue before. Could you please let me know the OS and versions of Java and Moneydance you are running (available under the Help->Console Window menu item)? This will help us to narrow down the possible causes.

   So far, I haven't seen anything like it happen again. Here is the version information:

   Starting Moneydance 2010r3 (751)
   Settings Folder: /Volumes/Media/Users/coop/.moneydance
   OS: Mac OS X 10.6.6 x86_64
   Java: 1.6.0_22 (Apple Inc.)

   Thanks for the additional info. We'll keep an eye out for this, and do let me know if the issue happens again. I have just remembered I've seen this once or twice when I had two or three accounts open in different windows, and made edits to an account in a window before closing it. The information available in the remaining windows didn't automatically "update" until I switched views or closed and re-opened the file. It's possible that's what happened here.
