Ack! My files are gone
Hi - when I came home from work tonight and popped open my Mac, it wanted to install new files. I let it do that and then tried to open my Moneydance banking file. Everything is gone! And I just used it yesterday. Please help me. I can see some .md files on my computer, but they are all grayed out and I cannot access them to even try to reinstall them. Thanks.

Maybe what you see grayed out are MD backup files. These files have a date appended to them. For example: MyMoneydance.md-2011-02-15.
If you rename the file and remove the appended date (-2011-02-15) and just leave it as MyMoneydance.md. you should then be able to open the backup file by double clicking on it.
