build 778: pb with memorized report

Hi,
I have a memorized report set up in my md file. However, when
trying build778, the report doesn't open, but I get an error:
a window shows up with "There's nothing to report". Yet build 751
with same md file shows the report just fine and it's not
empty.
The report is defined to just show transactions for all dates, on one account, looking for 2 possible tags.

Can you tell me the type of report that was memorized? e.g. a transactions report, a detailed income and expense report.

It's a transactions report.

Thanks for letting us know. I believe this has been resolved in the latest daily build, available here. If you'd be willing to test it that would be fantastic, and if now that's understandable as well.

I tried the daily build 779, but I still have the same problem with it. Same definition for the report as before (comment 3).

A bit more info, a bit more useful. This seems related to tags. I changed the definition of the report to list the transactions for that account and unchecked the "filter by tag" box. Then I get a list of transactions. If I check the "filter by tag" box and don't select any tag, i get a list of transactions. As soon as I select one tag (I originally had 2), the list becomes empty (and it should not. Build 751 confirms it). Hope it helps

In 751 there is both the "search" report and the "transactions" report. In MD2011 the transactions report has been removed and the "search" report has been renamed the "transactions" report. (essentially the search report has replaced the transactions report) I think it is likely that this is the cause of the problem. I recommend recreating the report from the new transactions report and memorize the result.

I did as you suggested: remove the definition of the report and create a new one. Still, it says nothing to report.
So I went back to build751 and created a "search report". Indeed, the interface for the search report on 751 is the same as the transaction report on 778. However, I still cannot get the list of my tagged transactions with a search report! It still claims there's nothing to report.
Attached is the definition of the search report (which doesn't work) and the transaction report (which works), both on 751. They look the same to me, yet don't produce the same result. If the search report becomes the default on md2011, then I would lose the functionality :-(
I tried playing around with the various choices of the search report. It seems that as soon as I use tags, there's nothing to report. I even created a brand new tag, use it on 1 single recent transaction and search for it:nothing to report.

Can you show me a screenshot of the register of the account you are searching on with one of the transactions that is tagged.
A transaction can have a different tag on either side of the transaction. I think it might be the case that the old transactions report checked the parent side if the transaction it was looking at was the destination.

You're right. If instead of the bank account where I usually set the tags, I do a research on the "other side" accounts, then this time the report found the transactions I was looking for.
Far from intuitive! Can anything be done to make it easier?

The developers are having an ongoing discussion about the way tags are handled in Moneydance. I agree the current method of allowing a transaction to have different tags on both sides is not as intuitive as it could be. We have a number of proposals on the table and we will be improving this functionality.
For the time being you will need to tag both sides of a transfer.

I just tried build787, but it now says it's in demo mode with 0 transactions remaining and I need to purchase a new license? Is there a way to keep testing?

The free upgrade to Moneydance 2011 is for those who purchased Moneydance 2010. You purchased an earlier version of Moneydance, which entitles you to purchase Moneydance 2011 for $24.99, which is half of the retail price. If you enter your key in the "Test My Key" box here you can purchase the upgrade. You can alternatively revert to Moneydance 2010 if you would prefer.
