Reopen: Linuxmint 17.3 & MD
Hi,
Well, here's the update: As we got to the 1341 version, life was good and things were working again with the about tab issues discribed last month. However as mentioned the only way it could only run if ALL the extensions were pulled from the program. If just one of them were activated, program broke , froze etc when going to the about tab. With version 1343, all bets are off - it breaks now. extensions or not. Having fun, David

Hi David,
I'm sorry to hear about the continued frustration!
Can you try closing Moneydance and renaming your:
~/.moneydance
folder, then re-open Moneydance and see if it's more cooperative then? That will do a full reset of all your preferences and extensions, in case there's something strange going on there.
Also, the default storage location for data sets in Moneydance is ~/.moneydance/Documents, so be sure not to delete that folder and you may need to move your yourfilename.moneydance data set folder from there to your new ~/.moneydance folder.

Hi David,
Can you send me your errlog.txt file again? If you're using Mac OS X, it should be located at one of these locations within your Home folder:
~/Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt
or:
~/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt
If you have any trouble finding your Home Library folder, open Finder and select Go -> Go to Folder and and copy and paste in the following:
~/Library
This should pull up your local Library folder.
If you're using Windows, it should be located at:
C:\Users\(yourusername)\.moneydance\errlog.txt

Hi David,
Yup, you're right--not very exciting. Can you also tell me what desktop environment you're using on Linux Mint 17.3?

Hi David,
I just ran Moneydance on a virtualized Linux Mint 17.3 64bit Cinnamon installation and didn't have any problems. Can you try creating a new user account on your computer and run Moneydance in that and see if that has the same issue?

Sorry Scott,
BonzoBilly Account is still the same - locked titer than a tick. Actually
have to go to a computer reset or logout/reset to get back in the game.
I've done upteen reinstalls-removes on MD also along with all the various
version trials. Its still the same, some versions work but then then most
don't. Last good was the 1341 I mentioned above.
