Minor addition error in income/expense reports
I've copied the income/expense report to Excel to do some more analysis, and I've summed the subtotals and totals in Excel as part of that analysis. Sometimes I notice that the overall total line in Moneydance, "Expenses - TOTAL", is $0.01 higher than the same total in Excel. This doesn't happen all the time, so I'm guessing it's some kind of rounding bug. It only happens in the "Expenses - TOTAL" line - the category subtotals always match in Excel exactly.

Unfortunately this is a bug in Moneydance. There's an existing ticket in our ticketing system regarding this issue, so I've attached it to this discussion and the developers will be looking into it. We'll let you know once this bug has been fixed. I'm sorry for the inconvenience!

I've got an update for you on this. I located the bug, and a fix will be in the next release of Moneydance. The problem had to do with how the base currency is stored in Moneydance. You can actually correct the report in your current file without waiting for a new release. Simply use the "Tools>Currencies" menu item to set a different currency as your base currency, and then set it back to "US Dollar". This should clear up the problem with the base currency in your file and give you accurate reports.
Hope that helps. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thanks for using Moneydance.

I used your fix to change the currency then change back to US Dollar, and it resolved the problem. Thanks very much!
