Install linux ubuntu 11.04 (natty narwharl)
Tried to install Moneydance free trial version and received this from the software center on my linux machine:
Lintian check results for /tmp/moneydance-1.deb:
E: moneydance: control-file-has-bad-owner md5sums 0/0 != root/root
E: moneydance: control-file-has-bad-permissions postinst 0744 != 0755
E: moneydance: control-file-has-bad-owner postinst 0/0 != root/root
E: moneydance: control-file-has-bad-permissions prerm 0744 != 0755
E: moneydance: control-file-has-bad-owner prerm 0/0 != root/root
Seems to me that the new ubuntu version doesn't like some of the permissions/owners. I tried moneydance on vista and really liked it but I'm planning on moving over to linux as I do not like windows. Oh well, another roadblock I guess.

Hi,
We think this is a bug in the ubuntu 11.04 software center. The .deb installs fine on 10.10. There are similar errors when installing the Chrome or Skype .deb on 11.04. Clicking the Ignore and install button when you see the error installs the package without a hitch.
Please let me know if you have any further questions,
Jon Hoover, Moneydance Support
