Downloading Accounts
Is there any way to specify the dates you'd like to download when downloading directly from Moneydance?

No I am afraid not. The first time Moneydance does a direct OFX connection it asks for everything available. The next time you perform a download it asks for all transactions since the last download.

There is no reason why this could not be added as a feature though, I can see instances where it would be useful.
When requesting a download, MD uses the date of the last download as a parameter - this is then used as a parameter in a SQL query by the bank and the resulting records are returned as a result of the query. It should be an easy matter to expand the download box slightly and include the "transactions since" date, pre-populated with the date of the last download.
Where this would be beneficial is in realizing (a few days later) that a transaction was incorrectly merged with the wrong entry. Deleting the incorrect entry is only part of the solution, the user now needs to re-download the transaction in order to correctly merge it with the right transaction.
A workaround is to access the bank account via the web and export the required date range from there as either a money or quicken file, then run that through MD.
Hope that helps!

Dave,
I've created a suggestion ticket and attached it to your message. If users comment on this thread in support of such a feature we will consider adding it.
Sincerely,
