Quicken QIF imports containing WITHD in investment accts beware!!
I discovered and characterized a nasty bug in QIF importing from Quicken (cost me HOURS!): Quicken allows "WITHD" and "DEPOSIT" transactions in securities accounts, MoneyDance does NOT! When MoneyDance sees one of these transactions in the QIF import stream, it does one of two things: 1) It silently deletes the transaction (bad); 2) It cuts off importing to the target account and dumps the remaining transactions to an "Imported Investment Account" it invents on the spot (horrible!). I finally figured out that this is the trigger for the error, and laboriously and manually changed all such transactions in Quicken Mac 2007 to "MISC" or "XFR" or "DIV" transactions, as appropriate. This works around the problem, but I wasted many, many hours on this!
May I suggest: I realize fully fixing this might be hard, but AT LEAST MoneyDance should pause the import when this happens and let the user do something about it on the spot.
It would also be nice to have the ability to merge these invented accounts back into the target account after the fact. There are other reasons one might want to move transactions from one account to another.
Version info: MoneyDance 2008r3 (631), MacOS X 10.5.6, Java 12.2.2, Quicken 2007 for Mac r2

I am glad you posted this - I have been looking at MD and was struggling with importing an investment account, getting similar results (i.e. multiple new "Imported Investment Account"s created).
