Import investment transactions from Quicken 2007 (Mac)

I've been trying out MD, exporting transactions from Quicken Mac 2007 and importing them into MD, one account at a time. Quicken Mac 2007 has an investment transaction type of "MS" (Move Shares). This does not have an offsetting account, a quirk of the program; instead, it names the account itself as the "transfer." MD creates a transfer category using the name of the security, which gets rather confusing.

A transaction that I have had commonly is "return or capital" distribution, which adjusts the cost basis of the security. It doesn't appear that you have that transaction type in your list.

    Hi Tom

Currently Moneydance does not have support for investment transactions of the type "Move shares" or "Return of capital". I checked in with the developer and we believe these are the only missing transaction types.

I am sorry if this does not meet your needs.

    Sincerely

    Ben Spencer
