So far I have been able to work my way through your application but about half way during entering securities in an investment account I find that the drop down "Securities" menu no longer includes the securities that I had already established in the securities list..

What am I missing or doing wrong?

    Hi Milton

I am not sure exactly which drop down menu you are refering to. However with both the securities drop down in the securities detail view and the drop down in the register for entering transactions, after a particular number of securities have been entered, rather than displaying them all in the drop down Moneydance creates a scroll bar on the right hand side of the drop down. You can click and drag this scroll bar to display all of the drop down items.

    Hello Ben,

Many, many thanks for your extremely prompt response.

I refer to the drop down menu of Securities when I go to the
Securities-Categories column of the Register. I get a list of 13
Securities (some of which are no longer in the account) but no scroll
bar. When I go to the second entry line I get the drop down menu of
Categories with a scroll bar. This is not the entry I desire. Am I
being clear? How do I eliminate securities that have been sold from
this Investment account. This would probably leave adequate space for
two or three new Securities in the drop down menu?

    Thanks again and kind regards.

I am sorry for not responding sooner. You can remove securities from an investment account by clicking on the "remove security" button in the security detail view. However if you have transactions that make reference to this security such transaction would have to be deleted. (which I imagine is not what you want ot happen) Even if you nolonger own any of that security type.

    Sincerely

    Ben,

Thanks a lot for your reply. I finally found that I should enter
securities in the "securities detail view" rather than the procedure I
had been using. In all honesty I think this could have been better
covered in your documentation but I was well warned before purchasing
your application that documentation was rather sparse.
Otherwise I am getting more comfortable with the logic each week.

Again, thanks for hanging in there and replying.
