My version is 2014, Version 1.6

It worked fine yesterday. Today I get the error message that there is a problem loading and that I should copntact Infinite Kind.

    Hello,

Can you send me your errlog.txt file? If you're using Mac OS X, it should be located at one of these locations within your Home folder:

    Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt

    or:

    Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt

If you have any trouble finding your Home Library folder, open Finder and select Go -> Go to Folder and type in:

    ~/Library

This should pull up your local Library folder.

If you're using Windows, it should be located at:

    C:/Users/(yourusername)/.moneydance/errlog.txt

I can find (finally) the folder errlog.txt under Moneydance, but is pages
of code, top line reads "Starting Moneydance 2015.7 (1359) at Tue Jul 19
15.33:31 EDT 2016". I don't know how to transfer this to you. Is there a
line I shlould look for and quote to you? Ben

If you using the forums via your internet browser, in the reply window you should see the attach file: "Browse" button at the bottom use this button to open a window that will allow you to navigate to the file and attach it to your response

To add to dwg's correct instructions, you should also be able to attach the file to an email reply to this message (if that's how you're reading this), and it should still post fine.

I am having the same problem -- error message won't load. My OS is Windows 10 Pro. I found the error message and it automatically loaded into Notepad. When I try to attach it says it's blank. So, i'd try to just copy and paste the error message into this email below.

I am pretty much lost without my basic Moneydance data file. It has several years of financial data. I cannot find the basic file. The Activity file noted above is just a download of a bank update, not the bigger base file. Will I need to reconstruct it? I loaded Java recently, does that have anything to do with being unable to open?

Anyhow, any help you can give would be great. I'm loading the error file as you suggested to Benjamin. Probably the same as the copy & paste I did above, but just to make sure.

    thanks -- Steve
