Exchange rate is removed when editing tranfers between accounts/categories with different currencies
Hi,
I've just upgraded to 2011 (791). When I edit an existing split transaction that involves different currencies between the account or category in question, the rate is removed completely. Attempting to re-enter the rate does not have any effect. i.e. The rate I enter is not persisted when I hit enter to finish editing.
This problem is only occurring when editing in the slit transaction dialog. Editing cross-currency transactions in the account register still works fine.
Output from the debugging console is pasted below. Can you please advise if there is a workaround. Otherwise a fix would be appreciated as soon as possible as my balances are now incorrect and I have no way to fix them.
Regards,
Kevin

Kevin,
This is a bug we are aware of and have classified it as major. We are working on Release 2 for 2011 and hopefully can get this cleared up in time for that.
Please let us know if you have any more questions,

Hi Jon,
Thanks for the update. Just a couple more questions...
Do you know of a workaround? For example, is it possible to manually edit the md file?
When is release 2 scheduled to be released?
Thanks,
Kevin

I definitely do not recommend editing the .md file by hand.
We believe we have the problem fixed in our internal build. This fix will get rolled into the daily build by noon tomorrow. You can download the daily build from here tomorrow after noon:

Just installed the nightly build and it does indeed fix my problem. Thanks very much.
