split transactions

After switching from Quicken, I find the split transaction mechanism not anywhere up to the ease of the rest of the program. One should be able to initially input the total amount of the transaction and then let the split function itemize it. I tend to enter major items from a credit card with categories and then put in a miscellaneous entry for the boring stuff. To have to do the arithmetic to determine what amount to put in that category is shameful, and something that quicken, for all its faults did a lot better. Please fix this!!.

    We have fixed a number of problems with the split window in our internal build. These fixes will be included in the next update.

    Hi Ben,

    Glad to hear that the split may be helped. I'll wait until the update release to avoid possible other issues with dynamic software. Having written operating systems from the early 1960s on, I know firsthand the perils of the beta world.
