No .moneydance directory, Java error java.io.IOException, installation incomplete

For whatever reason, I have paid 2011 licensed of money dance but it does not function properly on my iMac 27 i7 quad, 12GB dimm. i installed on macbook air (os x lion), it installed properly, no issues. I upgraded from Snow Leopard, same issue. Tried deleting and re-installing, running latest Java, register but it does not remember license keys.

    It is almost certainly a permission problem on your home folder preventing Moneydance from creating the .moneydance folder. Please see this FAQ article:

    Hi Ben,

    Yes, I was able to come to that same conclusion and had to reset my permission on my main PC (google it). You can close this issue. Thanks.
