Printing checks
Have checked knowledge base and not found an answer.
When I want to print a check I put "{Print}" in the check number
space and when I go to actions and pick print checks I get a window
saying I have no checks to print. I have done this before and after
I have entered the transaction, with and without a check
number.
What am I doing wrong?

Did you hit the "return" key after you put "{Print}" in the check number space?

Yes, as I said in my statement I tried to print before and after I had
entered the transaction into my register. I tried it by hitting the
return key and tried it by hitting the enter key on my number pad.

Hi donter2
I spoke with the developer about this case and he was surprised saying "that shouldn't be possible". Do you think you could take a screenshot (press print screen on your keyboard) of the transaction window and attach it to this discussion.
I am sorry for the inconvienience this is causing you.
Sincerely

There shouldn't be quotations marks around {Print}. When I select {Print} from the dropdown menu, there are no quotation marks, so I'm not sure how yours ended up there. Did you type it in manually?

Hi donter2
John is correct there should not be quotation marks around {Print}. The algorithm that looks for checks that need printing specifically looks for a string that begins with { and ends with }
If you did not add the quotation marks your self and they appeared automatically, what operating system are you runing and what version of java?

This is from the MD help menu I took the quotation marks as what should
be outside of the brackets. Thanks for the help, now if you will tell
me how to edit a transaction that has been entered, EI one has put the
wrong amount in a wishes to change it, and this is found out as you are
reconciling your statement. I know I am not the only one that does
this. I could not find the answer in any of the MD help menus.
Thanks again for your help.

Hi Don
To edit a transaction double click it in the transaction register.
