Ticker Symbol not Displaying
Howdy: I would like to have the ticker symbols for all my securities listed both on the home page as well as on the portfolio view accessed via the register. All my ticker symbols show up when I open the Edit (Tools/Securities/Edit) but they show up nowhere else.

For each security have you set the "Show on home page" option as shown in the attached screenshot?

Hi photo,
To have the ticker symbol appear for your securities within the Stock Prices module, rename your holdings with the ticker symbol appended to the actual security name.
As in your example, the Name for Accuride would be entered as Accuride - ACW.
Alternately, if you click on the (+) sign next to the name of your Investment Account under the Heading 'Investment Accounts' on the Home Page, your individual holdings will be displayed with the suffix that you assigned to it.

OK, I see this is doable, but a bit inconvenient for those of us with lots of securities already in tow from Quicken.
My suggestion for a future update of Moneydance would be to add a column to all portfolio lists that simply displays the ticker symbol entered originally for the security.
Thanks for your terrific support services.

Hi photo,
I agree, I had about 80 different securities to amend but I've found that it is a lot more convenient and useful to have the ticker available in this fashion as it makes the ticker viewable throughout the Investment reports as well as the 3 different portfolio 'views'.
It's a one and done deal and in my opinion well worth the effort.

I use the Mac version of Moneydance, and when its time to reconcile my stock brokerage accounts sometimes its hard to tell some of the ETF's apart by the name only and having the stock symbol would really help. I left Quicken for Mac, which had this feature. Can you include this in your next upgrade for Mac?

I know there is a column within MD that lists the ticker symbol. You can see it when you generate a Portfolio report. Unfortunately, the designers didn't deem it necessary to include it in the Investment Performance reports. I would keep asking for this feature in the next upgrade, whenever that will be.
