On 30 Apr 2016 I reported on a problem in MD version 2015.7, which didn't appear in previous versions. The comment says it has been resolved but it remains in MD 2017.
The issue is the Cost amount in the Portfolio report. For some of my investments I buy shares each month. When I change the date in this report the amounts for Shares, Price and Balance are correctly shown at the selected dates, but the Cost is the same whatever date is used and thus the Gains is also incorrect. As I buy more shares the cost should increase, but it doesn't change whatever date is used. For example, I have spent 4,000 per month for years on one investment, and when the date of this report is changed to the date when I first bought this share it correctly shows a Balance of 4,000 but an incorrect Cost of over 1,000,000 (which is also the cost if the report date is changed to today) with a negative Gain of over 1,000,000.
