2010r3 (751) sync with iPhone "crashes" app and creates double entries for all previously un-sync'd transactions
I am operating 2010r3 (751) on Windows 7 and the latest iPhone app on IOS 5. For about the past month, when I sync the phone to my PC over the local network, the action of sync'ing causes the iPhone app to disappear. Usually, I have been unable to re-run the app on my iPhone for a substantial amount of time--I believe it is after I disconnect the phone from the network before I can run the iPhone app again. This has been annoying, but it remained functional--transactions were uploaded to the PC, so I didn't rush to post the problem until now. Today, I sync'ed for the first time in a week, with the same result--the app disappears--but this time, my newest, unsync'ed transactions on the iPhone have been doubled and I can actually re-run the app... If it were 1 transaction doubled, I might think it was me, but there are 6 transactions that I entered for a credit card in the last week, and all of them are now listed twice, same descriptions/memo/dates/amounts. The duplicate transactions appear on my phone and on the PC. I forced another sync to see if transactions would duplicate again, and they do not. Regardless, there is something going on with the app, and I'd like to know how to stop these 2 problems--the app shutting down and the duplication of new, unsync'ed transactions.

On June 7 we submitted the iOS app to Apple to approval, so we'll definitely post on our blog, Twitter, and Facebook as soon as it's available. This update includes significant improvements to syncing, including Dropbox based syncing. We're not sure how long the approval queue is (Apple is a bit opaque about it) but we're hoping soon! We'll also post on this thread when the app is available.

Some bad news: Apple did not approve our latest update to the iPhone/iPad/iPod Moneydance app. This was due to the Dropbox authorization page linking to an external signup form.
The good news: we've re-submitted the app using a newer version of the Dropbox SDK that resolves the issue while also making the Dropbox authorization a bit easier. This submission also fixes a few small bugs that were discovered in the past week.
We're all very sorry for the additional delay in getting the app update. I expect it will be another 5 working days which is Apple's current advertised time to review app updates.
