Transaction Error Correction (errlog.txt)
After running Moneydance I always get an error log with two errors. The first about custom_theme.properties (not a serious problem) and an error loading a transaction (20161017174422_074.txn). Is there any way to figure out which transaction this is so I can correct it? Balance and other transactions are correct, I just always get the error when I use the program.
Thanks

No the transaction cannot be corrected (or so I have been told). The problem is that the encrypted transaction file is corrupted.
error: java.io.IOException: javax.crypto.BadPaddingException: Given final block not properly padded
This means that the file can not be unencrypted or repaired. During load it is just skipped over.
This is unfortunate that it is still happening with MD 2017. I was hoping that the prevention of this error would be part of the upgrade. With MD 2015 there can be hundreds (thousands) of these transaction files. I was hoping that MD 2017 would corral their proliferation.
<< BACKUP YOUR DATA >>
You can go into the bundle of the data file and remove that transaction file. There are instruction somewhere on this forum that I wrote. It will do no harm (allegedly) in that the file is skipped anyway. But backup your data file first.
