I'm checking out Moneydance and was trying to restore my backup data file. Can some one help me with this?

I don't know the official method, but to access a backup file from the File > Open menu, you just need to remove the date information from the backup file's extension (i.e., everything after the .md). So, in summary, just edit the name of the backup file to remove everything after .md. I would put the date information into the part of the file name before the .md, so that you don't forget which file is which.

The only thing to add to this is that you should do it with a copy of your back up file and not the original back up.
