I have been running MoneyDance 2011 or 2012 on an old computer. I downloaded 2017 to my new computer and am trying to get the data from my other computer to my new Moneydance. I've tried transferring using Drop Box, One Drive, a USB Drive. I select Import, then the file, the absolutely nothing happens. How can I get the old info to my new MoneyDance?

Correction -- I've actually been running 2015 on my old computer and can't get the data to import to my new 2017

I am not support staff, just a user.

On your old computer if you have not moved your data set start moneydance. Click on HELP – SHOW DOCUMENT FOLDER. This will open the default data set location. Close moneydance. If you have moved your data set find your data set doing a search, if necessary. Your data set folder has the naming format of “yourfilename.moneydance”.
Start moneydance 2017 on your new computer. In the welcome window click on “Create a new account set”, then “Create New File”, Next, change “Account Set Name" to TEST and click next, and then Finish. Click on HELP – SHOW DOCUMENT FOLDER. This will open the default data set location. Close moneydance.

Copy your data set folder and all its contents from your old computer and paste it in the data set default folder on your new computer.
Start moneydance 2017 and click on WINDOWS – WELCOME TO MONEYDANCE. As the data set is in the default location your old data set name should be displayed along with TEST in the top right hand corner of the welcome screen. Double click on your old data set name, it should open.

    Hope this helps.
