Is there a limit on the number of open windows for MD?

I'm trying to clean up my accounts and discovered there is a category (or something) with no name where uncategorized things go. I'm assuming that I didn't specify a category in Quicken when these were moved over. I cannot find this blank category in any lists - it only shows up when I show the other side.

I had 16 windows open and when I tried to edit a split, MD froze. After awhile, I closed the split window (it never showed anything but the outline, then closed a bunch of the other windows.

Don't know if this is really a problem so much as a limitation?

Mary, This was likely a memory issue. When Vista is low on available physical RAM, it often freezes or misbehaves in some similar way.

Thanks! I'll just be more careful.

Do you have any elucidation on the no name category? Or is there a way I could go to it without finding a blank and go to the other side?

No transactions show up with a blank category in the transaction register?

Mary, I apologize for the delayed reply. You can create a new category tools->edit category that has the category field blank. Then using the "binoculars" search tool you can search for that category (by finding it in the account search option), and you will find all the transactions that have no category attributed to them.
