Importing OFX - transaction name changed, now a different cheque number!

I've just imported an OFX file for my latest statement, and MoneyDance did a wonderful job of guessing all the categories. However one transaction, which was a 6 digit cheque number, seems to have changed! Rather than the number it was in the OFX file, it is now the same as a previous transaction...

Looking closer, it seems MoneyDance has auto suggested the previous transaction name and I had to confirm it as being the actual name downloaded. Not sure this is the wisest behaviour, particular for a 6 digit cheque number...

Investigating this further, it seems when MD is likening transactions to previous ones, it doesn't just assign the previous transactions category, but also changes the transaction name to match the previous one.

Can this behaviour be changed? I like MD suggesting categories based on previous transactions with a similar name. But I want the new transaction name to remain unchanged.

Do you input transactions into your MD account on the day or so that you make such transactions?

For better control over the merge process, I suggest that you change the Preferences - Network settings to mirror those of the attached screenshot. This way, you can match transaction to transaction. It will not change the transaction name for those transaction that you have registered into your MD account.

Please see attached screenshots for the merge setup and merge process at work.
