I am a money dance user. I was able to connect to my FI online banking and import transactions. I am not able to set up Online Bill Payment with Money Dance. I have referred to your user guide and it does not provide me with enough information. Tell me what my FI needs to enable in order for me to use Money Dance Bill Pay. Or is Money Dance trying to connect to my FI's Bill Pay? Why is the error message referring me to my FI when my FI does not support Money Dance?

    Bbishop,

Could you please let me know what bank you are trying to use online bill payment with? This will help us to better diagnose the issue.

    Bbishop,

Moneydance supports online bill payment through direct OFX connections. Not all banks which support downloading through direct OFX connections support bill payment through these connections. Johnson Bank does not support bill payment through direct OFX connections.

In terms of your bank referring you back to Moneydance, Moneydance uses exactly the same OFX server connection protocol as Quicken but your bank representative may not know this and mistakenly believe that you can not connect in Moneydance. Calling up your bank and stating precisely the following should get you started. "Please enable direct connect on my account such that I can connect to your servers directly with Quicken. Also give me the login credentials I need to connect Quicken to this service."

I'm sorry we cannot currently support bill payments through your bank, but if they begin to offer this feature as accessible through their direct OFX server we'll be happy to support it.

I'm sorry I don't have a more immediate solution, and please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
