Unable to download gold/silver prices
I am currently using 2011r2(803). I added gold and silver to the exchange rate downloader. I have not been able to download gold or silver rates. It always shows gold at 1666.66 and never changes. Silver is always shown as 0.5. Is there a fix for this problem?

Can you confirm that your followed the instructions provided here for downloading these prices? If so, please let me know and we'll go from there.

Thanks Angie. I did set up an account using SLV and GLD to track my metals investments. The two symbols are ETF symbols. The GLD symbol is based on 1/10 oz. I had hoped there was a way to track them under the currency rate downloader that would indicate the full oz values.

Go to the extension. Click stock exchange field for gold. Use the scroll menu to the New York Stock Exchange. Now double click the field and an edit box will pop up. Edit the price multiplier to 10.
Now hit the advanced button and test. You should see an the price it will update. If this is correct then you can update.
