Duplicate thansaction when changing online transaction
I had entered an online transaction. I then noticed that I had
not changed the pay date as I had let it default. It was 2 weeks
earlier than I wanted. I went into the Online - Online Bill
Payment. It listed the transaction as 'Will Process'. I selected
the transaction I wanted to change and clicked the Modify Payment
button. I changed the date and saved the transaction. When I went
back to the register there were now 2 transactions for the same
payee - one for the original date and one for the modified date.
Shouldn't MD have changed the date in the first transaction and not
entered a second transaction?
I deleted the transaction with the incorrect date. I hope that
there is only 1 transaction with my bank.

I agree the existing transaction in the register should have been modified rather than a new transaction created. I have file a bug ticket.
