How do I clear an invalid category
I had initially created two categories that I eventually didn't need. They had no transactions and no budgets.
I have now deleted them but they still appear in the budget bars on the home page with an "invalid category" label.
How do I correct this? Is there a database compaction utility or similar?

You can delete the budget bar with the defunct category from your home page by right clicking on the bar and selecting the Remove option.
