Deleting transactions in investments

When investments were imported into Moneydance there were duplicates of everything-share, dividends, etc. I don't know why this happened, but I have a problem deleting the duplicate transactions. I have tried doing it from the security details screen, portfolio view, and register. Click on a transaction once and it turns but, click twice and register pops up. If I click twice on the line in the register I can delete the share and dollar amount in the transaction. Everyone once in a while a screen comes up"Do you want to save your changes?", then you can click yes or no. There must be an easier way. I have read the guide and do not find it helpful. A step by step approach would be great.
In the extensions box for downloading you can select how you want to download (daily weekly etc.) It is possible to download several times each day or is it restricted to once a day.
What would really be helpful is a screen that showed the day to day progress of a portfolio all in one screen. It would have the securities listed according to category and name,number of shares, cost basis, today's value, total increase or decrease of the stock since purchase, daily stock price, and percentage of increase or decrease. It would make it easy to see trends.= and get an overall view of the portfolio. On your current program you have to click on the security detail of each individual stock to find that info which can be very time consuming. Thanks for listening.
