Problem connecting to Chase
Mac OS: 10.5.8
Safari: 4.0.3
Java: 1.6.0_15
When trying to connect the error message received is:
"There was an error communicating with your financial institution.
The details of this error are below. The error code reported by the
server was: 2000
The user cannot signon because of invalid user ID or password, or
host is unavailable."
I've gone to the Chase site and logged in with the same information provided on MD
Can this be fixed?
Thanks

Joan,
It is necessary to make sure your account with Chase is enabled for "direct connect" (sometimes this is simply described as enabling a connection to Quicken as this is the most common program using these connection protocols). You can accomplish this either on the phone with a Chase representative or on Chase's website. You may even receive new login/password information once you have done this.

Brian,
Thanks for the reply. I had phoned Chase a while back and thought this was set up. I tried just downloading the data in all formats, but without success. There is an instruction to log on to their site (I was already logged on) and accept their online agreements, but I couldn't find the link. Now that I understand this is a Chase problem I'll handle MD manually as it will take less time than trying to deal with the bank.
Thanks again
