Trial Version When Trying to Use Moneydance as Another User

Last night I tried to use Moneydance under another user accounts in Windows XP Professional and received a message stating that I was using the trial version. The reason I want to use another user account is because I am remoting in, across my network, from a laptop in another room and am using a user account with a password for security.

I assume the problem has to do with permissions to a license file being saved in another user account folders. I searched and found information about similar problems encountered with Mac installations but nothing for WIndows XP installs. If this is already answered please point in the right direction.

I didn't want to just use my registration number again without inquiring as to the "correct" solution.

TIA,

Paul

    Paul,

The simplest fix would be for you to use your registrations number with the "new" account. With our license agreement you can either a) use it on as many computers as you like, or b) have as many people as you like use it on one computer. For the purposes of our license, couples count as a single person. If you would like a more technical solution, please do let me know and I will send one along.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thank you for using Moneydance.
