I had a harddrive crash. I was using Moneydance 2015 and all that I have left is some archrive files. I bought 2017 and then tried to restore the backup, but that did not seem to work. Is there a way to save those archives. This is a huge problem; if you can help it would be greatly appreciated.

You can download Moneydance 2015 from here:

    https://infinitekind.com/previous-versions-of-moneydance

This article tells you how to restore from an archive file:

    http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/archive-moneydance-2014-and-2015/ar...

I seem to remember (but not sure) that anther way of opening an ".moneydancearchive" file is rename the extension ".moneydance"

I am not MD support, just another user.

    BTW Suggestion...review your backup procedures?

Jim, I suspect you have posted from the app, so may not realise that your thread is in a public forum which is where I have seen it. There is a link to public forum in the email notification you get.
I mention the above because I edited my reply to add the first link which you wouldn't see in the notification email, only if you go the forum:
