When setting up a budget and choosing a "parent" category (e.g., Leisure), there is a notice at the top of the edit budget window that says "$X.XX monthly for everything under category "Leisure".

However, when running the budget report and selecting to include categories not defined in budget the report generates a line item for "Leisure" that includes the dollar amount of any sub-categories AND individual line items for each sub-category tagging them as "(Not in Budget)" - I've attached an image. Further, the totals in the budget report are increased by the duplicate amount.

    Rick,

I'm sorry it's taken us so long to get back to you. First off, could you please let me know what OS, version of Java, and version of Moneydance you are running? This information is available in the Help->Console Window menu item, and will help us to better diagnose the issue. There were some issues with child categories in some earlier versions of Moneydance. Let me know and we'll go forward from there, and I promise it won't take so long to get a response this time!
