I sent e-mail to [email blocked] with Lot Matching problem at 2:50 CDT on Tuesday and have not had a response. I am looking for someone to assist me with my problem. Any thoughts?

Good Afternoon & thank you Tom for your response. You will see in the first screen shot is a purchase of 1,000 shares in 5 transactions. Four 100 share purchases followed by a 600 share purchase. The same number of shares was sold in two transactions, a 600 share then followed by a 400 share sale. The lot matching in this software will not allow me to properly account for the first in, first out order of reconciliation. I need the first 600 share sale to be offset by the first four 100 share purchases & then 200 shares of the fifth 600 share purchase. The last 400 share sale should be offset against the last 600 share purchase. The software will not allow me to do this and I encounter the error "have allotted an incorrect # of shares." Please contact me with any additional information you might need.

    Hi Wayne,
The lot matching process takes a little finesse.
    Access the lot matching screen.
In the left side column, click on the 600 lot sale.
In the right side column, click on each 100 lot purchase and enter 100 into the 'Shares Allocated' column. Click on the 600 lot purchase and enter 200. Press ENTER. Look to the 'Shares Remaining' field, you should see a faint 0.
Back to the left side column, click on the 400 lot sale.
In the right side column, click on the remanining 400 lot and enter 400 into the 'Shares Allocated' column. Press ENTER. Again, look to the 'Shares Remaining' field for the faint 0.
    Click OK.

    Wayne,

Kevin's advice is excellent, and exactly what I would have advised. If you're still having trouble let me know and we'll go from there.

Good Morning Angie, Kevin's advice worked. I have a new question; having trouble inputing a dividend into the transaction register. Can you direct me where I should send that question? Thanks for your help with the lot matching issue and have a great day.

    Hi Wayne,
Attached is a screenshot of a typical dividend txn.
The first txn is a Buy txn.
The second txn is the Dividend txn.
