Deleted accounts don't really disappear

While testing the viability of this product, I have added and deleted several accounts over the last week, but some (3) of them keep popping up again sporadicaly? How come?

    Hi John,

    Thank you for contacting us.
    Did you delete the accounts by navigating to Tools > Accounts, selecting the appropriate account and deleting it there?

    Also do you have syncing enabled?

    Sorry I don't really remember. I might have deleted them from the Account/Delete Account route, but more likely thru the Tools/Account route.
    No I dont have any syncing enabled.. Haven't installed the mobile app yet.

    These accounts probably didnt have any transactions in them, so when I
    deleted them they didn't ask me for a Yes confirmation.
    I think I set them up then immediately realized that I wanted a
    different naming schema so just deleted them

    After I had created them I decided I wanted a different naming schema,
    so deleted them immediately.

    Two did,, but after I had added a transaction then deleted the account with a "yes" confirmation I havent seen them again
