How to update JRE on Mac
Hi,
I'm getting the problem mentioned here: http://help.infinitekind.com/discussions/problems/37136-moneydance-crashes-when-file-import-is-clicked. But, I can't upgrade - I am still using version 2014.4 (967) even though I paid for an upgrade, because you guys changed the plugin API and my plugin (that I invested a lot of time in) won't work if I upgrade.
So, is there a way I can fix this problem without upgrading? Can I change the JRE in some way?
Thanks,
Evert

The JRE that MD uses is part of the application bundle. I would be surprised if replacing the JRE in the application bundle did not render the whole APP inoperative.

The entry for this fix in MD2017 talks about a workaround, it does not talk about changing the JRE version and there does not appear to be any real recent Java update for Mac OSX thus precluding that there might need to be a new version for support of High Sierra.
The only JRE update in Moneydance in recent times seems to be for Linux.
So even if you did update your JRE I doubt if it would fix the problem.
