Default formatting of Reports

Hi, I just now upgraded to Moneydance R2 and ran a simple memorized report. Could see immediate

  • The default width of columns is calculated to make the entire report fit on the screen - the result is that it is impossible to see the value of any cell that contains anything other than a single digit number.

  • No matter how wide I make any column, the overall report width does not change and the horizontal scroll bar does not turn on. I can see just a few rows at a time by resizing them, with the result that other rows shrink.

  • Bizarrely, if I hit EDIT inside the report, do nothing, then CANCEL, the report is reformatted to its original values.

This is just a crazy behavior! Is there any way to change it? Of course I can make a report with fewer columns, but that will defeat my purpose.

  • Also, I have seen others suggest something which I would also heartily endorse, which is an option to leave ZERO-values cells BLANK, to increase readability of reports with lots of zero cells.

Please advise, thanks.

    Hi Mark,

I apologize for our extremely slow response--somehow your post slipped through the cracks.

Could you possibly post a screen shot as an example of the reports that aren't sized properly?

Thanks for your patience and my apologies again!
