Error 400 when trying to download from Wells Fargo
I am using the trial version and have set up online banking
through Wells Fargo Direct Connect. When I try to download
transactions I get this error:
A communication or parsing error occurred. This could be the result
of a network problem, a proxy error, or misconfigured server.
Error Description: java.io.IOException: Error 400 Bad Request
I am using the 2008r4 (643) version.
Thanks!

Hi,
Have you enabled direct connect access with your bank? Most financial institutions will require you to enable your accounts for application-based online banking. If you have your financial institution set up your account as if you were using Quicken 2008 for Windows then it should also work with Moneydance since they use the same protocol. This is sometimes necessary as many banks don't yet recognize Moneydance or know how to deal with it.
Keep in mind that application-based online banking often requires a different login/PIN than the ones that are used for ATM or web-based banking. When you enable your account for access from Moneydance or Quicken, your financial institution should let you know what customer ID/login and PIN to use.
If it still doesn't work, please make sure that you are not behind any proxies or firewalls that may be blocking the Moneydance connection. Please let me know if you continue to have connection problems. Thanks for your interest in Moneydance!

Hi Jessica,
Yes, Direct Connect works with my bank. I've been using it in Quicken for Windows for months. I actually used it today in Quicken without any trouble.
I also don't have any proxies or firewalls that I am aware of. I am working from a mac with Moneydance.
Who knows what the problem is. As much as I wanted to find a mac solution for my financial softward, I am going to stick with Quicken for Windows via BootCamp or a windows pc for now.
Good luck, though. There are a lot of nice things about Moneydance and I wish you luck!

Thank you, Jessica. We don't need to continue at this point. I will
remember it for the future, though. Good luck to you!
