My best guess is that you may have inadvertently matched an
incoming transaction from the qif file to a transaction that was
already in your register from some time before. The import process
runs each transaction through a matching algorithm and presents you
with a list of possible matches. If you are not in agreement with
any of the matches it is necessary to select "new transaction (No
match)" before hitting the record button.

There is an option in the preferences under the network tab
which allows you to limit matches to within a specified number of
days that might help this type of incorrect matching from occurring
again.

I am sorry for the trouble this has caused you.

Sincerely

Ben Spencer

Ben Spencer
