Backup Error

When I try to backup my files to a USD Directory I get a Filename, Derectory Name or Volumn/Lable Syntax is incorrect error. Following the FAQs to get to the menu to change the dicrectory location as per the FAQs does not work. The Archive directory come up to the default backup directory. see Attached Screen Shot. How can I change my backup to a shorter file name that the software will recognize and put it in a directory of my own?
