Hello
I got to install but the pull down menus keep disappearing so that I can neither put in my licence key or select menu items
Thank you for your assistance

Hi Paul,
Is your Moneydance window maximized? If so, try making it a window. That should fix the menus. There is a bug in Gnome 3 that affects some Java programs like Moneydance. If you'd like the window to be as large as possible, you can drag the corners to make it the size of the screen.

Jessica,
That worked - thank you
I have been trying to install Java 7 because I was told that it the
problem.
Thank you for your reply.
I really like Moneydance and have been using it for a number of years
but it is a little limited in some ways.
I use it for my shares and superannuation and would like capability in
calculating share returns - dividends and the like
Is there any plan for development in that direction?
Regards
Paul

Since Mint is based upon Ubuntu then, I would suggest that you follow this FAQ:

BTW:
I'm currently running MD under Ubuntu 12.04 with Oracle Java 7 as the only version of Java installed.
