Hi Nancy,
Open Moneydance. From the Menu bar, click on Help then Register Moneydance. Enter your license key. I would recommend copying and pasting the license key directly from your email message so as to avoid any typos.

You do know, of course, that the box that comes up when you select "register" does not allow you to paste the number. I have tried to type it in and both times was told that the number wasn't valid. You want to tell me what to do now?

I CANNOT copy and paste my License # because the box that pops up when I
click on "Register MoneyDance" will not allow that. I have typed the
registration # that was sent to me five different times, recopying it from
the original each time so that I would not repeat errors. NOTHING works.
All I want is something to balance my checkbook and keep a record of tax
transactions. Obviously your program is beyond me. Please refund my money
and I will go elsewhere.

Hi Nancy,
After you copy your license key, position you mouse cursor into the Register Moneydance field then use key combo CTRL-V to paste it into the field.

Thank you!!! That worked.
When I was teaching ceramics in high school, I learned the importance of
giving step-by-step instructions and leaving nothing out, and assuming the
kids knew nothing. If I didn't, generally somebody's piece would blow up in
the kiln ruining everything or we would have another such disaster.
MoneyDance needs to give detailed instructions with their orders!

Hi Nancy,
You're welcome.
I've notified Angie, the MD Support staffer in charge editing the Moneydance User Guide to put forth your suggestion of including the key-combo CTRL-V to Paste the license key into the Register Moneydance field.

Let's hope that there's no explosions with Moneydance. :)
