can't find how to get uploaded transactions to automatically use previously used categories automatically
Can you please send an answer to my email as I seem to have lost the last discussion connection and this is the third time I have tried to get an answer
Please can you help me know how to get transactions to automatically choose a previous category I have manually entered for a similar transaction .
It will save me so much time if this function works.. I have
searched and can't find how to do this...

A previous payment for example to Tesco Stores I have categorised as Groceries, whereas Tesco Fuel.. I have entered under category Fuel
I am taking the download directly info from the bank.

Yes, please do check out Ben and Kevin's on the referenced thread. I would also suggest checking out the "Batch Change" function if you're categorizing a lot of transactions. You can find information on using "Batch Change" in the Moneydance 2011 user guide here.
