Bizarre importing problem with QIF
New to Moneydance. I download the QIF files for my Savings accounts just fine. When I import the QIF file for my VISA statement, it puts the Date field in the MEMO section. In the date section it puts today's date for every transaction.
Any advice on this?
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
It is unlikely that Moneydance can do anything to reconfigure the QIF files from your Visa account. From what I've read on these forums, QIF files were never really intended for the purpose of data entry. They were designed as a troubleshooting tool for Intuit techs.
Does your Visa account provide any other file format for downloading?
Moneydance can easilly import OFX, OFC, and QFX file formats. These file formats are often referred to as Microsoft Money and Quicken formats respectively. Moneydance can also import the CSV file format but it is a little more involved. Try to use one of the other formats if possible.

John,
Wow, that is just weird. I second Kevin's suggestion to try downloading the file in another format (if available). If not, could you possibly send us one of the problem files QIF at support (at) moneydance (dot) com so we can see if there's any way we can help (unlikely, but possible).
Let ms know about the above stuff and we'll go from there,
