Quotes and Exchange Rates Extension Problem
This problem caused me a good bit of extra work today. The quotes extension gets the wrong value for the prime money market. It wasn't until I spent a lot of time trying to figure out why my MM total was wrong that I remembered that this problem has existed for a while.
The problem was made worse because it isn't obvious how to correct the current price (you do it by editing the History -- not intuitive). Removing the erroneous value in the history dialog also does not solve the problem.
Finally, even if you do get the value corrected, the total in the sidebar is not corrected until you restart the app.
Another problem with that extension is that it has an OK button and an Update button. Because of that, many users will choose the securities to update and click OK, as I did. Nothing will happen. I recommend that OK does the updating, or at least that you have an Update Now button and a Close button.

Hi xxtemp,
There is no need to update the price of Money Market Funds since their NAV stays at $1.00.
If you haven't already done so, uncheck any Money Market Funds that you hold in the Q&ER updater.
The problem with the Q&ER updater is that it grabs the 7-day yield instead of the NAV.

You are right, however it's a serious problem when someone updates prices on all his/her funds, then finds that the balances are off.
I always compare the totals with the Vanguard page. When they didn't match yesterday, I went through each fund comparing the fund's value. It was a lot of work.
Worse for the person who see's a low money market total, and sells stock to replenish the fund.
